Juli Bridges, an online college instructor, says she designed the shirts because she wanted to make a clear statement: Vick should be convicted and sent to prison on animal cruelty charges. “We created these shirts for sports fans, Michael Vick opponents and animal lovers opposed to animal cruelty,” says Bridges of CONVICK Shirts. She and her husband Brad have four dogs they rescued from shelters. She says they were so saddened when they heard about Vick’s alleged role in dog fighting that they had to do something. “We are trying to turn a very unpleasant situation into something positive,” says Bridges. “We are just two animal lovers who are trying to voice how they feel about Vick and what he’s accused of doing.” Bridges says they created the shirts to raise money for animal rights organizations.
