Mr. Selig began his distinguished news career in El Centro, Calif., and worked his way to Tampa, Fla., the nation's 11th largest TV market. Here he was designated the Top Story/Lead Story reporter, investigative reporter and fill-in anchor. Mr. Selig has held similar positions in Eureka, Calif., Victoria and Beaumont, Texas, and Saginaw/Flint, Mich. In each city and station, Mr. Selig won awards and was among the most trusted reporters in town. Either he anchored the news, reported on the top story or served as the chief investigative reporter.

Mr. Selig has reported live for CNN and FOX News and in virtually every major market city across the country—including New York and Los Angeles and internationally with Great Britain's Sky News.  Even as a young child, Glenn appeared to be destined for a news career. He would write letters to family and sign them "Glenn Selig, News Staff."  Mr. Selig will now apply his talent and experience to managing the marketing and publicity campaign for PropertyMaps.com in newspapers, magazines, television and radio.

The Big Stories

Mr. Selig has covered big trials and monumental tragedies. He was on the front lines for Hurricane Charley, reporting from Punta Gorda, Fla., and in Pinellas Park, Fla., for the landmark right-to-die Terry Schiavo case. He's covered the president, governors, U.S. senators and members of Congress, and many, many celebrities.

As an investigative reporter, Glenn took on pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly and Company and exposed possible risks to some diabetics who were prescribed an extremely popular insulin drug. These reports led to major changes in U.S. import policies. The work also won Mr. Selig the prestigious National Headliner Award.

Husband/Father

Glenn has been married for seven years to his wife Charyn, a middle school teacher. They have two children: a daughter, Drew, 5, and son, Josh, 2.

Through his news coverage of the Jessica Lunsford tragedy and as a father, Glenn developed a special empathy for the pain felt by Mr. Lunsford. “Glenn’s up-close look at the evil that sex predators such as John Couey pose to our nation’s children inspired him to contact us when he saw our press release concerning PropertyMaps.com adding sex offender information to our map-based real estate search,” states Keith Hanenian, company CEO. “We started talking and as I got to know him, I realized that beyond his impressive credentials, his moral values made him a perfect fit for our company. After a brief meeting with our Board of Directors, we voted unanimously to extend an invitation for Glenn to join our company.”

A lack of magazines and books geared toward dads also motivated Glenn to start the successful online magazine for fathers, InteractiveDad.com, in 2004. It offers parenting and financial advice for dads. The online magazine has been cited in Newsweek, major city newspapers and will be the focus of an upcoming article in Parenting.
