With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Nancy K. Fisher, RN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. She is a Registered Nurse with 45 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially gerontology nursing. Nancy is currently serving patients as the Manager of Regulatory Compliance for Genesis HealthCare in West Virginia. Nancy manages regulatory compliance survey outcomes for three states, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee, for Genesis HealthCare owned and managed centers, including assisted living centers.
Nancy received her Nursing degree in 1971 from Holzer Medical Center School of Nursing. She maintains professional memberships with the American Nurses Association and the West Virginia Nurses Association. Nancy attributes her success to her mother and her aunt, as well as her first day working in a center as a Director of Nurses. The management had requested a state surveyor to come and teach her what was needed to get the center ready to open, they implemented the recommendations and opened with 5 residents passing with no deficiencies. Nancy makes a difference in the lives of her patients by assisting centers to be survey ready every day and provide residents with the best quality of care. When she is not working, Nancy enjoys spending time with her husband, going to her grandchildren’s sport activities, watching WVU and Ohio State football and basketball games, and reading.
