Dr. Savin is a 1969 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He subsequently served his internship and residency at Duke University Medical Center, followed by his fellowship at the University of Washington. Dr. Savin is certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. In addition, he maintains professional memberships with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the International Society for Experimental Hematology.
Over the years, Dr. Savin has been recognized with several awards and honors, including Best Doctor in Dallas by D Magazine 2001-Present, and Texas Super Doctor by Texas Magazine 2004-Present. A published author, he attributes his success to his passion for helping his patients. He dedicates his spare time to being with his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. A fan of opera and live music, his primary hobby is playing guitar.
