The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Edwin H. Smith Jr., RN, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders In Healthcare. Edwin H. Smith Jr. is a Nurse Manager working for the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. With over 11 years of experience in nursing, he specializes in nurse management, and emergency medicine and critical care nursing.
Edwin received his Registered Nurse certification in 2005, from Galveston College. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree was then gained in 2015, after studying at the School of Nursing at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Edwin is currently studying for his Master of Science in Nursing degree. Furthermore, he holds advanced qualifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, CPR, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, as well as being a Trauma Nursing Core Course Instructor.
Edwin has served as both a registered nurse and nurse manager, and in 2015 he was awarded a Nursing Excellence Award from the University of Texas Medical Branch’s School of Nursing. He attributes his success to the help and support of his father, who also worked in medicine. Edwin maintains a professional membership with the Emergency Nurses Association, and when he is not working, he enjoys doing voluntary work within the community, and riding his motorcycle.
