With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Ashell K. Smith, MSN, RN-BC, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. Ashell is a registered nurse with three years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially medical/surgical nursing. Ashell is currently serving patients at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where she works on the Zayed 11 West Unit (The Urology/Thoracic/General Surgery Unit). Ashell hopes to become a nursing instructor, and eventually the Dean of Nursing.
Ashell studied pre-medical preparation and chemistry at Ball State University in 2010, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 2012. Following that, Ashell obtained her Master of Science degree in nursing and nursing education at Grand Canyon University in 2015. Ashell is a board certified registered nurse, and credits her success to her willingness to be open. She is passionate about educating others and hopes to make a positive impact within the nursing profession. Even though she can’t always control what happens, she always tries her best. When Ashell is not working, she enjoys working out and traveling.
