National PR firm, The Publicity Agency’s client Florida Museum of Photographic Arts appears on Channel 10 discussing new exhibit

In the segment, which aired on June 4, Carrier spoke with Kathryn Bursch about the museum’s history, location and artwork.

“The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts was established in 2001 and started as a small initiative of photography enthusiasts in Hyde Park. Later it moved downtown,” said Carrier. “In 2012 we were offered a wonderful space in the arts district on the river and we are now located in the Cube which is part of the Sykes tower.”

FMoPA, a client of The Publicity Agency since 2014, welcomes artwork from international, national and local photographers with images focusing on landscape, still and abstract photography.

“Right now we have a group show focused on fashion photography and artist from different continents so it is a visually very wide range of images,” said Carrier. “Then we’re offering an exhibition of a New York-based photography, Jim Reynolds and he’s known by working with the city environment and with the urban scenes and its very vivid, as you could imagine.”

The 2015 International Photography Competition exhibition in conjunction with First Fridays open tonight, June 5, at the museum from 6 – 8 p.m.

“We organized this at the beginning of the year and now we’re showing the winners of the competition. We got over 420 submissions from different continents,” said Carrier. “I think every viewer can find his favorite in this show, it’s going to be pretty.”
