The Gasparilla Interactive Festival features compelling presentations and forums from the brightest minds in emerging technology, interactive media, and disruptive entrepreneurialism and includes exciting networking events hosted by industry leaders.
The festival is a community event that will build on this existing foundation and add to the region’s diverse and dynamic culture striving to become a significant economic development driver for job creation and quality of life improvement in Florida.
Speakers include:
Peter Shankman: Peter Shankman has offered his unique vision on the future of customer service and marketing to companies as diverse as Saudi Aramco, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Hyundai Motors, and Taj Hotels, in addition to hundreds of other corporations around the globe and is a frequent contributor to CNN, FOX News, and CNBC and major print and online media worldwide.
The New York Times has called him “a public relations all-star who knows everything about new media and then some.” He is the author of several books, most recently, Nice Companies Finish First, and the founder of Help A Reporter Out (HARO), which has changed the PR industry connecting anyone to 20,000 sources around the world.
Faris Yakob: Called “one of the sharpest advertising minds around” by The Better Mousetrap, Yakob is an award winning strategist and creative director, writer and public speaker, and one of the founders of Genius Steals.
Yakob also plays an active role at Miami Ad School, running Innovative programs, workshops, and strategies for brands and agencies.
Joanna Lord: With eight years of digital marketing experience, Lord was CMO of BigDoor, a startup in Seattle working on new and exciting ways to connect big brands and consumers and VP of Growth Marketing at Moz, an inbound analytics company in Seattle.
Currently Lord is VP of Marketing at Porch, the home improvement network helping home professionals do what they love and home owners love their home.
Savannah Peterson: Savannah Peterson is the Global Community Manager at Shapeways, the world’s largest community of 3D Printing Entrepreneurs and was the marketing mind behind the Instacube Kickstarter campaign, and has helped clients and fellow creative minds raise over $4.5M through crowdfunding.
