Last week began the depositions of Dr. Christian Drehsen, the owner/manager according to public record of Clinique of Plastic Surgery, Renaissance Clinique, P.A., and his real estate company Renaissance Real Estate of Florida, LLC, with offices located in St. Petersburg and Sarasota, Florida. The suit was originally filed by Dr. Drehsen against Esquire Dawn Rapoport claiming he overpaid for her and she breached her fiduciary duty. Ms. Rapoport has countered back against this abusive action alleging sexual misconduct and abuse by her treating physician and physical abuse, among other things. These allegations come as no surprise to many as the doctor has a history of these sorts of behaviors and have even been publicly reported on in local papers.

How the “good” doctor is still in practice is anyone’s guess.
Meanwhile, over the past year, non-profit organizations and charities like Brookwood, Florida www.brookwoodflorida.org, PARC www.parc-fl.org, and Working Woman of Tampa Bay www.workingwomenoftampabay.com, and even the Florida Sheriff’s Association, while he has numerous police reports that are publicly available (https://www.pcsoweb.com/administration/records-division/) have been cashing in on Dr. Drehsen’s tarnished and soiled reputation. He has been feeling very charitable over the past year since he needs some good press to offset the current headlines.
The latest in cashing in is Brookwood, Florida, an organization that provides troubled adolescent girls a living environment & therapeutic program encompassing education, employability skills, independent living training & counseling that prepares them for self-sufficiency or successful family reunification. The problem with this is that the crimes and charges Dr. Drehsen faces certainly don’t read user friendly to Brookwood or PARC.
The case will not only demonstrate patterns of abuse but also flagrant disregard for his profession, his responsibility. It’s a safe bet that if a prospective patient doesn’t want to risk being abused or worse in the state of Florida they need to look at a plastic surgeon that doesn’t have a history or allegations facing them of it. It doesn’t matter how much Dr. Drehsen pays to clean up his image, he is covered in muck…and now represents the face of abuse.
