“Snake and Mongoose” will make it’s final theatrical appearance at the Century Orleans 18 at the Orleans Casino.

“Snake & Mongoo$e,” the feature film about the extraordinary rivalry and friendship of legendary drag racers, Don “the Snake” Prudhomme and Tom “the Mongoose” McEwen, the sports’ two biggest stars, is continuing its final theatrical run with a special showing attended by producer Robin Broidy at the Orleans Casino’s Century Orleans Theater on Monday, November 4th 2013 at 7:40 p.m.

Entertainment Universe, the company responsible for producing “Snake and Mongoo$e,” has announced today that they have arranged for the film to continue screenings  so that all of the attendees of the Specialty Equipment Manufacturing Association (SEMA) Show get a chance to see the movie.

“We wanted to give attendees of the SEMA Show a chance to see the film because they are a large part of our core audience” said Robin Broidy, “Snake and Mongoo$e”  producer. “We’ve arranged it in a way that our screening won’t conflict with the other SEMA festivities, so all of the attendees can make it out.”

Everyone who attends Monday night’s 7:40 p.m. showing will receive stickers and 8×11 gloss fliers of the movie poster, as well as the opportunity to have them signed by producer Robin Broidy, who will also be available for questions before and after the screening.

The film, which stars Jesse Williams (Grey’s Anatomy) as Don “the Snake” Prudhomme and Richard Blake (Dragonball; Evolution) as Tom “the Mongoo$e” McEwen chronicles how these two highly competitive racers teamed up in the late 1960s to create a sponsorship deal with Mattel’s then new Hot Wheels Division. The partnership revolutionized sports marketing and put drag racing into the American mainstream.

The film also features Noah Wyle, Tim Blake Nelson and Fred Dryer and contains cameos from current Top Fuel Funny Car Drivers, Ron Capps and Alexis deJoria as well as from the real life Prudhomme and McEwen.

Although the real-life Snake and Mongoo$e are unable to attend Monday’s screening, both Don Prudhomme and Tom McEwen will be attending the SEMA show this year and look forward to hearing what audience members think.

“We’ve seen it many times and love it,” said Tom McEwen. “We’re hoping everyone goes to see it Monday evening and stops to tell us what they think of the film when they see me or Don walking the halls of the Convention Center.”
