Court documents filed by Attorney Dawn Rapoport in Pinellas County Florida, state that Dr. Christian Drehsen of Clinique of Plastic Surgery, sexually abused her while she was his patient over a 13 year period.

The case, which is being heard in the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court, alleges that Dr. Drehsen not only didn’t pay Attorney  Rapoport for her legal services- but the plastic surgeon sexually abused her while she was under his care. In the defendant’s answer to the complaint that was brought by Drehsen, Ms. Rapoport lists sexual misconduct by a physician, sexual battery and assault, prescription drug abuse as well as theft of professional services.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Dr. Drehsen has been accused of misconduct by one of his former patients, 52 other lawsuits name the renowned plastic surgeon as a party in Pinellas, Sarasota and Palm Beach Counties. The defendant is seeking damages of $982,684. from the plaintiff in count one of her counterclaim for unpaid legal work she performed for Dr. Drehsen. The industry trade magazine, Plastic Surgery Magazine, has ignored past complaints brought against Drehsen and named Clinique of Plastic Surgery to their list of best practices for the past 3 years.

In court documents that were filed in July and August, Ms. Rapoport states that Dr. Drehsen was trading medical and cosmetic surgery services for sex - and that he also forced the defendant to terminate two pregnancies by exerting control over her via physical, sexual, and emotional violence.

The court documents filed by Rapoport state that Dr. Drehsen started threatening her in 2010 and followed through on his threats against her this year when he sued her for overpayment and breach of fiduciary duty.  According to the record, Dr. Drehsen has not denied any of the allegations made by the defendant.

The laws governing doctors in the state of Florida prohibit a doctor from having sex with their patients. However, according to the defendant’s sworn statement, Rapoport claims that Drehsen began having sex with her over 10 years ago, while she was his patient. Her sworn statement also revealed that Drehsen got her drunk, took her to his office and had sex with her.
