GTRA announces government technology GOVTek Awards gala nominees

Government Technology Research Alliance (GTRA)Today, GTRA announced the final nominees and categories for Government and Solution Providers for their GOVTek Awards Gala taking place on February 2, 2012 at the Newseum.

The Annual GOVTek Awards honors Government and Industry leaders and their contributions to the IT community, their country and the ever-evolving cyber world around us.

“Due to the overwhelming response and requests for involvement in voting, we are excited to announce the new judging process allowing the community to vote!” said Kelly Yocum, CEO and founder of GOVTek LLC. “We are looking forward to recognizing the accomplishments achieved through the collaboration and innovation of both government executives and the solutions the industry provides.”

Judges will make up 50 percent of the vote, the community will represent the remaining 50 percent vote that takes place now until December 31, 2011.

The GOVTek Awards Gala at the Newseum, ‘Washington D.C.’s most interactive museum,’ is a black tie gala and will begin with a networking reception, awards ceremony with a full dinner prepared by Wolfgang Puck Catering and a Monte Carlo Casino Night after party with raffle prizes and casino games.
